Product Details
UPC: 00004802

This design is derived from the gouged-out headstock of Bill Monroe's mandolin. Monroe has given his mandolin to the Gibson repair shop in Michigan. Upon its return, the work was deemed unacceptable by Monroe. Taking out his frustrations, he used a pocket knife to remove the pearl inlaid 'Gibson' from the mandolin.

The headstock is on view at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
